Abstract
Some aspects that are very important to be considered for achieving the title of the athlete. This depends on nutritional status, athlete's dietary intake pattern, athlete's protein intake, exercise system carried out, and the presence of factors of injury experienced by athletes during pre, during, or post-competition. Martial arts athletes need more energy and protein in their daily lives. Protein serves to improve aerobic performance (endurance) of the muscles of the arms and legs by increasing body muscle mass. Protein that helps in the process of energy formation and increased muscle mass is carnitine. Nutritional status can be known by doing anthropometric measurements, namely by measuring body weight and height. Protein intake using SM-FFQ and to determine the endurance of leg muscles using the Squat Jump test. To determine the effect of nutritional status and level of protein adequancy to increase the endurance of leg muscles in martial 2 arts athletes in the class of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta at the time after training. This study was an observational study with descriptive analysis, number of respondents 20. BMI data were obtained from measurements of body weight and height, protein consumption data from SM-FFQ, and data on endurance of leg muscles from the squat jump test. Respondents with normal nutritional status (85%), respondents with normal protein intake (60%), some with normal nutritional status have good leg muscle endurance, and some with adequate levels of normal protein have good leg muscle endurance. Some athletes with normal nutritional status have good leg muscle endurance, and some athletes with adequate levels of normal protein have good leg muscle endurance.
