Abstract

Humans as social beings can not be impossible to do interaction with other human beings. One of the instruments or tools used as a medium in building such relationships is the reliability of communication. One of the reliability in accessing communication is to use various smartphones with various brands. The presence of smartphones greatly affect the behavior of individuals it can be seen from the reality of everyday, where everyone can hardly be separated from the name of a smartphone or gedget. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship of smartphone use with the behavior of prosocial adolescents in high school students Kerjo. The approach method uses a quantitative approach. Data collection using scale that was given to 100 research samples by using cluster random sampling technique at Kerjo State Senior High School. Data analysis in this study using SPSS 16.0 For Windows Program by usingcorrelation product moment. The result of this research shows that there is no correlation between the intensity ofusage Smartphone with prosocial behavior with the result of correlation coefficient 0,089 with significance equal to p = 0,397 (p ≥0,05).
