Abstract
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus infection or DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, or DEN-4 which is transmitted through mosquito bites. DHF is an endemic disease in a tropical climate, because the tropical climate is very supportive for the breeding of these mosquitoes. The cases of DHF in Kartasura District in 2016 increased 75% to 116 cases from the previous year, which was 38 cases. This study will make a spatial model based on cases of dengue disease to find out the center of grouping of disease cases and also the factors that influence it. Using the Hot Spot Analysis technique (Getis-Ord Gi *) and the overlay technique (intercropping) among hot spots with population density and settlement density. The objectives of this study were (1) to know the hotspots of dengue fever with 2016. (2) to analyze the effect of population density and settlement density on cases of dengue in Kartasura Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency in 2016. The method used was descriptive qualitative method, which explained the results of processing data in the form of a hot spot map. The results showed that (1) Hot spots with a possible level of 99% in Kartasura Village RW 8 and Ngadirejo Village RW 5, while cold spots with a possible level of 99% were in Makamhaji Village RW 20, Ngemplak Village RW 4, and Pucangan Village RW 6. (2) Population density has an influence on dengue cases but the effect is not large, while settlement density has a large influence on dengue cases in Kartasura District in 2016.
