Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease of global concern. Information system is needed to support tuberculosis control program. SITT is an electronic tuberculosis recording and reporting information system issued by the ministry of health. There are several problems faced by officers in using SITT, such as SITT can not save the patient addresses from outside Bantul and the column for sputum examination is not in accordance with the current tuberculosis services. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the acceptance of SITT as an information system for tuberculosis recording and reporting by users in Respira Lung Hospital of Yogyakarta and Health Department of Special Region of Yogyakarta. The type of this study is qualitative with a single case study design. The object of this study is SITT and the subjects of this study are officers who become the users of SITT or officers who have become the users of SITT at the site of the study. The results of the study show that the use of SITT in Respira Lung Hospital of Yogyakarta and Health Department of Special Region of Yogyakarta gives several usefulness and easiness to its users. There are four indicators of usefulness, namely job performance, effectiveness, makes job easier, and useful, and there are six indicators of ease of use, namely easy of learn, controllable, clear and understandable, flexible, easy to become skillful, and easy to use, which get good assessment from the informants of this study. Therefore, SITT can be accepted as a tuberculosis recording and reporting information system.
