Abstract

The Child Social Welfare Institution (LKSA) or the most common in the community is an orphanage is an institution that is managed directly by the government and outside the government with the aim of providing social welfare for neglected children, orphans, orphans, orphans, the poor by providing primary needs such as clothing, shelter, food, health needs to education. One important component in an orphanage is the education system in the orphanage. This education system is divided into 2, namely the formal education system and non-formal education such as interests and talents. For formal education, the orphanage meets these needs by providing opportunities for foster children to attend schools outside the orphanage, ranging from elementary school (SD) to the equivalent of junior high school / vocational school (SMA / SMK). As for non-formal education, orphanages give wadaah in orphanages if they have possible facilities, and if they cannot be accommodated in the orphanage, they will be given the opportunity to pursue non-formal education outside the orphanage. This non-formal education is needed to equip skills for foster children considering that the orphanage system only provides needs to the equivalent of Junior High School or Vocational School (SMA / SMK) education. It takes a space to accommodate these interests and talents ranging from midwives to sports, arts, martial arts, machinery, cooking and others. The orphanage is a place where many children gather from various ages to a certain extent which is the potential for the inculcation of lessons and insights on environmental care from an early age because of the issue of Global Warming that continues to exist because of the lack of public awareness at this time and not whispered from an early age. From the Manzil-Al Ahlam Orphanage, it strives to accommodate interests and talents by not forgetting aspects of caring for the environment which can also be used as a source of income to be used independently for the needs of the orphanage itself.
