Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of origami paper on the children's creativity at the group B in Aisyiyah Kindergarten Sumber 1 Surakarta 2017/2018. The subject in this research was group Bthat consisted of 18 children. This research used quantitative method. This research used pre-experimental design by using one group pretest-posttest design, but this research was modified into initial observation and final observation because the subjects in this study were early childhood. The data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation.The result of observation showed that the children’s creativity improved well after doing origami paper folding activity. It could be seen by comparing the mean score of observation. The mean score before action was 18,39 while the mean score after actionwas 27,33.The data analysis technique used t test by SPSS 15.0 for windows.The result of analysis using T-test was tvalue –18,576 < - ttable –2,110. It meant that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Therefore, it could be concluded that origami has influence toward the children’s creativity.
