Abstract

Lokananta is the first and the largest recording place which produce vinyl in Indonesia since 1956. Lokananta become an important history of music Indonesia and the real authenticate of art and culture in Indonesia. However, now the Lokananta’s glory has dissappear caused by the times. The vinyl has been abandoned and less of interest in recording studio of Lokananta. So the issue make Lokananta in crisis period. Based on the discourse by the Mayor of Surakarta proposed to the Minister of Education and Culture for Lokananta into a music museum with the aim of as a means of education and recreation for the community. The design process is done with several stages, ranging from literature study, observation to data analysis so as to produce the concept of design. Carrying the concept of approach to the acoustics of the expected space Museum of Music 'Lokananta' into an object of education and recreation that can create a good space experience as well as a new face of the city of Surakarta is thick with the city of culture.
