Abstract

Benteng Van Den Bosch, Revitalisi, Adaptive Reuse, Infill Design. Indonesia has a history in its development from ancient era, royal period, colonial era, until now. In those days there is a relic that has stories and historical records of each period that have the factors that have developed in the region. An area in architecture is one of the social assets that provides a close bond of connection between the past, the present, and the future. After the Dutch colonized Indonesia has a legacy of buildings and structures. The buildings and structures can tell the history of how the Dutch can survive colonizing Indonesia for 350 years. The Dutch built much in every area of the fort in Indonesia as a defense and one of the fortifications in the area of Ngawi known as the Van Den Bosch Castle. The castle that has been abandoned over time gradually degraded. In this case the government's efforts to revive the Van Den Bosch Castle by making tourism.In order to become a tourism need castle revitalisasization who have experienced degradation. The area of pendem fortress that traversed two rivers and is expected to be a tourist waterfront area. In the process of development and revitalization of the castle is expected to be a problem solver of environmental issues with sustainable development. In revitalizing the Van Den Bosch Fortress with Adaptive Reuse approach by adding new functions to revive the Van Den Bosch Castle. From the existing castle spaces in the event of the addition of the addition of space that is insufficient sense of the existing building the need for insertion of existing buildings.
