Abstract

Sleman District it self is a district that is famous for its various potentials, both its natural potential and its human potential is also one of the tourist destinations in Yogyakarta which is often visited by tourists both local tourists and foreign tourists. One of the interesting destinations in Sleman is a tourist village which is an integration between attractions, accommodations, accessibility, and supporting facilities presented in a structure of community life that integrates with the traditions prevailing in the community. This is the potential that exists in the area and can be expanded to a wider extent. The purpose of this study was to analyze all the potential contained in various tourist villages in Sleman Regency because each of these tourism villages has its own potential that can be developed to be wider. The method used in this study uses a method of field survey and filling out questionnaires which are divided into several aspects, namely tourists, the surrounding community and also managers of the local tourism village which aims to find out all the advantages and disadvantages contained in a tourism object that later with this can help local managers to fix all the deficiencies in the tourist village. The results of this study indicate that the supporting and inhibiting factors of each of the tourism villages from the supporting factors are being able to enjoy its natural beauty, its attractive cultural attractions, the friendliness of the people, the good security conditions, and certainly the accessibility that can be achieved by private vehicles while the inhibiting factor is the lack of promotion of these tourism objects so that not all tourists know the existence of the place and lack of communication between managers and related agencies. The results of the SWOT analysis for the direction of the tourism village development are by coordinating or cooperating with related agencies, namely the Department of Tourism to immediately fix all existing deficiencies and utilize developing technology to be able to promote tourist villages in Sleman District.
