Abstract

Religious character for students, requires various ways, methods, approaches, and is done in all situations. One way is by habituation. The purpose of this study is : 1) to describe how the implementation of religious character education through Juz'amma recitation and 2) to describe the obstacles and solutions in overcoming religious character education in Juz'amma recitation activities of fourth-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Bentak Sragen elementary school. A qualitative descriptive approach aimed at describe and describe existing phenomena. Data collection techniques through observation, interview, and documentation. Research related to religious character education through Juz'amma recitation activity in fourth-grade students. The result of the study show that, 1) in the implementation of Juz'amma recitation activity there is a planning stage that the teacher tells students to bring the Juz'amma recitation book, then in the implementation with a 45-minute allocation every meeting and held every day except Monday and Friday , the implementation of Juz'amma recitation also uses the sima'i and jama method so that there is an appropriate sequence / syntax to be easily understood and followed by students. Then for evaluation the teacher uses Juz'amma recitation card to be assessed when students advance one by one. 2) there are obstacles to students not bring the tahfidz book, students late in school, for the fourth-grade there are twenty students not everyting is smoothly recitation Juz'amma, then there is a solutions done for overcoming is students are taught to discipline time and check students reading when recitation Juz'amma.
