Abstract

The role of Intellectual Capital is very important in determining the stability of a company, where IC is considered able to provide competitive advantages for the company. Companies that are able to manage and utilize their intellectual property well are believed to be able to increase the value of their company. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of IC on the Company's Financial Performance with indicators of ROA, ROE, DER, and NPM. The population of this research is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013-2016 with samples taken by 57 companies using purposive sampling method. The type of data used is secondary data taken by documentation method by accessing idx.co.id and sahamok.com sites. The method of analysis in this research is simple linear regression analysis. The results of this research indicate that IC had a significant positive effect on company’s financial performance (ROA, ROE, and NPM) and significant negative effect on company’s financial performance (DER).
