Abstract

Poverty is a problem that we often encounter in social life. Where there is a shortage of clothing, food, home, education, and work related to quality of life. This study aims to determine how economic growth, unemployment rates, minimum wages, and district / city inflation on the number of poor people in Central Java Province in 2011-2015. This research is a quantitative and secondary study using panel data, the data used in the form of time series in 2011-2015 and cross section 35 districts / cities in Central Java Province with data sources obtained by BPS (Central Statistics Agency) and other sources from journals and essay. The results show that Fixed Effect Model (FEM) is the most appropriate model. Based on the F test, the independent variables simultaneously or together affect the dependent variable. The test results show the known R-square value of 0.9991 shows the dependent variable can be explained by the dependent variable of 99.99% while the remaining 0.9% is explained by variations in other variables not included in the model.
