Abstract
One measure of the success of a country's development is the level of income inequality. The occurrence of income inequality can be influenced by various factors, both economic and non-economic factors. This study aims to analyze what factors influence income inequality in East Java Province in 2012-20115 This research is quantitative research. The data used is cross section, with 38 districts / cities in East Java and time series during 2012-20115. Data is processed by panel data analysis. The results of this study indicate that variables influence and Human Development Index simultaneously on income inequality. Partially, the inflation variable has a positive and significant effect on income inequality, while economic growth, population, human development index does not affect income inequality in the province of East Java.
