Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the sociohistorical setting of Asma Nadia, (2) the structure of the Heaven's Unwanted novel, (3) the female image contained in the Heaven's Unwanted novel, (4) the implementation of the research results of women's image in literary learning in high school . This study uses descriptive qualitative method, the strategy used is the case of the object of this research is the image of women in the Heaven's Unindicated novel by Asma Nadia. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs in the novel titled Unwanted Heaven by Asma Nadia which contains ideas about story elements. The primary source of this research data is the Heaven's Unwanted novel. Data collection techniques use library techniques, see and note. Data analysis techniques in this study use the method of reading semiotic models that is reading heuristics and hermeneutics. The results of the research are (1) the sociohistorical setting of Asma Nadia he was born in Jakarta on March 26, 1972, the works produced by the author include: novels, short stories, plays, books and films. He won many awards. (2) the structure of the Heaven's novel that is not missed raises the theme of domestic life and a polygamous wife. Groove, mixed groove. The characters involved are Arini, Pras, Mei Rose. The setting of the place in the novel is the city of Jakarta, Bogor, West Java, Masjid Al-Ghifari, and the hospital. The backgrounds of 2002, 1980, and 1965. The social background of Arini's social life came from Javanese families and upheld the values of the Islamic religion. (3) the image of women in the novel of the image of women in the family, namely (the image as a wife, the image of a housewife), the image of women in society, namely (relationships with people, relationships with people, relationships with the general public or career, and image women social (ie social image of women in educational institutions). (4) its implementation in literary learning in high school class XII because it fits the criteria of teaching materials namely language, psychology, and cultural setting.
