Abstract
Carburizing process is defined as a process of adding elements carbon (C) on the surface of the steel. Low carbon steel is a material that is normally used as construction materials. Low carbon steel has properties which are easily carried out with the machine and have a high tenacity. Although the nature but also low carbon steel has a low violence and easy to wear. But this can be overcome by changing the nature of the material. High Energy Ball Milling is the process of collision between steel ball with charcoal as though such a process of carburizing. In this study the materials used for the manufacture of charcoal is a plant Acacia shaker mills is a tool used in the process of High Energy Ball Milling with a speed of 1000 rpm motor, over 2.5 million cycles with crushers balls size 3/16 inches. This next test of steel ball is tested in a test of the Microstructure and hardness of the Vikers. Testing Micro Structure aimed to know the phase of the steel ball surface before and after the Collision are done. On testing the hardness of the Vikers performed on steel ball aims to find out the value of violence before and after the Collision are done.
