Abstract
This study aims at evaluating: (1) the influence ofdiscovery learning-based concept map learning model on learning mathematics outcomes. (2) the influence of students’ learning activity on learning mathematics outcomes. (3)the existence of interactions between discovery learning-based concept map learning model and students’ learning activity on learning mathematics outcomes. This study is a quantitative research with true-experimental research design. The population of this study is 155 students of 7th grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo, two classes were chosen for the sample of this study by cluster sampling. The first class was treated using discovery learning-based concept map learning model and the second class was treated using conventional model. The data collection was conducted using test, questionnaire, and documentation. Morever, the data was analized using different number of cell analysis of variance with 5% significance level. The conclusion are: (1) there is influence of learning model on learning mathematics outcomes, discovery learning-based concept map learning model a give better learning outcomes of conventional model. (2) there is influence of students’ learning activity toward learning mathematics outcomes. (3) there is no interaction between the teaching model and students’ learning activity on learning mathematics outcomes.
