Abstract
Hydrostatic transmission is a fluid power transmission that functions as a successor to the power of the engine. The purpose of this analysis is to analyze the continuity, the cause of damage, and the steps to improve the main pump on the rubber crawler carrier Morooka MST-800 VD. This analysis is also to determine the amount of torque, flow rate, efficiency of the travel motor when the main pump is damaged. The inspection procedure is carried out by performing a performance test consisting of operating speed test and pressure test. Visual inspection is also performed on the control valve, hydraulic hose, main pump, servo mechanism, and travel motor. Then an analysis is performed using fishbone diagrams to analyze the causes of hydrostatic transmission damage. The results of the analysis are damage to the main pump, hydraulic hose, and control valve caused by external leak and poor daily check procedures. In the rear main pump, the actual flow rate is 103.2 L / min and the theoretical flow rate is 130.4842 L / min so that the volumetric efficiency is 79.09%, resulting in a force of 1271.7 N and a power of 3,096 kW. On front main pump, the actual flow rate is 103.2 L / min and the theoretical flow rate is 130.4842 L / min so that the volumetric efficiency is 79.09%, resulting in a force of 211.95 N and a power of 0.516 kW.
