Abstract

Adolescence is a period of prone to nutritional problems. One of the determinant indicators of nutritional quality on adolescents is height. Stunting is called as a health problem if prevalence (>20%). Factors that affect the growth of height include genetic, hormone, physical activity, nutrition and desease/infection. One of mikronutrient associated with height growth is calcium. This research aims to determine the relationship between calcium intake and adolescent height of student in the SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. The type of research is observational with cross sectional approach, there are 53 samples selected by stratified random sampling. Calcium intake data was obtained through the FFQ Form Semi-Quantitative in the last three months. The height was measured by using microtoice and analyzed by using WHO Antro Plus. The result of the research was obtained by using statistical analysis Pearson Product Moment. The 2 result shows that most of research subject of non stunting height equals to 62,3%. Most of research subject had less calcium intake equals to 67,9%. The result of realtional test with pearson product moment test analysis was obtained p=0,483 (p>0,05).
