Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to determine the effectiveness of fractional learning using shard board media with a scientific approach can achieve mastery learning on aspects of student learning outcomes using board shard media on learning outcomes of grade IV at Tunggulsari 1 Elementary School in Surakarta, (2) to determine effectiveness the average student learning outcomes taught using board shard media with a scientific approach is more than the average learning outcomes taught by learning using the lecture and book methods of fourth grade students at Tunggulsari II Elementary School Surakarta. This research was conducted by giving treatment to the experimental group and providing the control group as a comparison. This design consists of two groups, each of which is given pre-test and post-test which is then given treatment using board shard media with a scientific approach. The results showed that: 1) There was completeness in fractional learning using board shard media with a scientific approach to aspects of learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Tunggulsari I Surakarta, with the results of descriptive tests on the control class z count and z table obtained from the calculations performed by the researcher obtained the value of Z_count = 1.01135 with Z (0.5-α) significance level of 0.05 obtained 0.1736. 2) There is an influence of the use of board shard media with a scientific approach to the improvement of the learning abilities of fractional fourth grade students of SDN Tunggulsari I Surakarta. From the results of calculations conducted by the researcher the value of Z count = 17.86>Ztabel significant level 0.05 obtained 1.645.
