Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) the inculcation of discipline character and self confidence through extracurricular activities of tapak suci in high grade students in SD Muhammadiyah Plus Malangjiwan Colomadu. (2) the obstacles of planting the character of discipline and self-confidence of students through the extracurricular activities of the tapak suci in high school students in SD Muhammadiyah Plus Malangjiwan Colomadu. (3) the effort in handling the obstacles of planting the character of discipline and confidence through the extracurricular activities of the tapak suci in high grade students in SD Muhammadiyah Plus Malangjiwan Colomadu. Type of research used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques with observation, interview and documentation. To test the validity of data in this study used triangulation that are metode triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results in this study indicate that: (1) extracurricular activities of the tapak suci that can instill the character of discipline and self-confident of the students: (a) in obedience ceremonies in an orderly manner will train students 'discipline, prepare the line before the ceremony begins to train students' self-confidence. (b) memorizing and practicing the kick lock technique instills the character of time discipline and task discipline. (c) memorizing and practicing fan art tricks to discipline in order to pay attention to the material given by the trainer. (d) sabung training practice in front of the students train the students' self confidence. (2) obstacless of tapak suci activity: (a) lack of trainer personnel. (b) place and weather factors. (3) a solution to the obstacles of tapak suci activity: (a) the addition of the trainer personnel of the tapak suci. (b) using both bore and class wells as a training ground.
