Abstract
Thesis Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. July, 2018. This study describes, 1) the diction contained in the lyrics of the album track as Noah's work should have been, 2) the types of imagery contained in the lyrics of the album's songs as Noah's work should have been, 3) the relevance of the research results as teaching materials in high school. The data used by the researcher is a statement that shows the diction contained in the album track as should Noah's work. Data collection techniques used in this study is a library technique, refer to, notes, interviews, questionnaires. Data analysis used in this research using qualitative descriptive. The results of this research are 1) the lyrics of the album track as Noah's work should have found the various dictions and images contained in the lyrics. 2) there are 31 pieces of diction and 36 pieces of imagery in the lyrics of the album track as should Noah's work. 3) The diction is the most widely used Noah on the album as it should be a connotative word while the unused is and touch image.
