Abstract

Teaching computer programming activities in the lectures is expected to make room for the students to perform the test based on the theory that gained. However, in practice is still not able to give the expected output. This is due to less integration of activities of the teaching is done. Based on these problems then conducted in this research is the fix module system and teaching computer programming for long. The method is a new method of CDIO has the goal to increase the role of the student in resolving issues in an active and integrated. This method consists of 4 stages that must be undertaken, namely Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate. Furthermore, based on the application of the method of CDIO then performed repairs on modules and teaching computer programming scenarios. The results of the improvements obtained based on application of methods of teaching computer programming on the CDIO is the achievement of competence and the expected output. From the results of the analysis of the questionnaire with Likert scale data processing using the acquired positive results (scale of ' good ') by applying the method of CDIO. The average value obtained is above 740 points and in the percentage of approvals were in the range of 74%. Keywords: CDIO, Competence , Module, Practicum
