Abstract

Scientific process skills (KPS) is the ability to apply scientific methods in understanding, developing and discovering science. This study aims to determine the ability of the Student’s science process skills on classroom biology practicum XI science senior hight school of Surakarta even semester school year 2017/2018. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with observation data taking, by observing the science process skill of biology student of 2 senior hight school of Surakarta on biology practicum. The population used in this study grade students XI science 2 senior hight school of surakarta with 56 samples, and implemented in biology laboratory 2 senior hight school of surakarta in March until May. Aspects that used in data collection is observation, planning the experiment, measurement skills, predicting skills, skills to interpret data, skills to interpret procedure, and communication skills. Based on the research conducted, the results shows the ability of grade students XI science 2 senior hight school of Surakarta science process skills in the course of biology practicum is categorized very good by the acquisition of KPS 93,65 value.
