Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) states that coronary heart disease (CHD) became one of the health problems in the cardiovascular system that the number increased rapidly with the death rate of 6.7 million cases. CHD is a cardiovascular disease caused by a blockage of the coronary arteries by a pile of plaque, pollutants or environmental chemicals that normally enter the body through food, drink or gases accumulated on the coronary artery wall. This makes the possibility of blood clots in the narrowed part of the arteries, so no more blood can flow because the flow of the arteries is blocked by a clot of blood that has become hard. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristic feature of Coronary Heart Disease patient at Dr.Moewardi Surakarta Regional Hospital and to know the description of physical activity ability in Coronary Heart Disease Patient at Dr. General Hospital. Moewardi Surakarta. This research was conducted at Poliklinik RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. research conducted in March 2018. The sampling technique using incidental sampling method with the number of samples of 42 samples. The result of the research shows that the characteristic of coronary heart disease respondent based on the age of the most respondents is the elderly with the age range of 56-70 years as much as 50%, the sex of the respondent is the male gender with the percentage 76.19%, the most respondent work is the private employee equal to 38.10 %. Description of the ability of physical activity in coronary heart patients at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta mostly of them can perfom optimal physical activity with a percentage of 80.95%.
