Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) plan for the socialization of new student admissions, 2) the determination of the target of new student admission, 3) the advantages of school socialization used in capturing new students of SD Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Banyudono. This study uses a qualitative method. Data is collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data validity through triangulation method. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis models. The results of this study indicates that: 1) Plans for Socialization of New Student Admissions at SD Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Banyudono begins with the principal forming a new student admission committee involving teachers and employees who are competent in their respective fields. The committee held a new student reception meeting to discuss the preparation of a socialization strategy and record all the achievements and advantages of the school that will be written in the brochure. Publication officers print brochures and banners. IT personnel socialize school performance to kindergartens through brochures and presentations. The student admission officer prepares a registration file in the form of registration forms, biodata, and makes a registration book for prospective students. 2) Determination of the target acquisition of new students is adjusted to the quota or capacity of the classrooms owned by the school based on consideration of facilities and infrastructure owned to support teaching and learning activities. 3) The advantages of school socialization used in capturing New Students of SD Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Banyudono through presentations have an advantage in the direct implementation of dealing with prospective students. Brochures have the advantage that all messages written in brochures are not easily forgotten because there are notes. The EKSIS competition held in primary schools has the advantage of being able to introduce the existence of the school and the school's vision and mission.
