Abstract

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a nerve entrapment that occurs frequently and caused by nerve compression and entrapment medianus nerve that found in carpal tunnel and causes weakness, sensory and motoric pain in hand area that innervated by medianus nerve. The aim of this study are to find the effect of kinesio taping and nerve mobilization on the decrease of pain in carpal tunnel syndrome. This study using quasi-experimental approach pre and post test with control group design. The samples were 20 people who were divided into two group, treatment group as 10 people and control group as 10 people. The statistic test of effectresult of Paired Sample T-Test of treatment group on silence pain is 0,000 in press is 0,000 and in motion is 0,000. While control group pain in silence is 0.000 in press is 0,000 and in motion is 0,000. The result of Independent Sample T-Test showing the difference between both of group pain in silence is 0,000, in press is 0,000 and in motion is 0,004 indicating that both group have the different effect. There is the effect of kinesio taping and nerve mobilization on decrease of pain in carpal tunnel syndrome.
