Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship authoritarian parenting with discipline of memorizing al-qur'an. The population were students of TKIT MTA Juwiring 1 and TKIT MTA Juwiring 4.Teknik sampling is population study using inclusion criteria. Measuring tool use the scale of authoritarian parenting and disciplinary scale. Analysis of data using the help of SPSS 15.0 with product moment analysis to measure the relationship between authoritarian parenting with the discipline of memorizing al-qur'an. Based on calculations obtained by data analysis results indicate there is a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.120 with sig = 0.323; p> 0,05, meaning that there is no relation between authoritarian parenting with discipline memorizing al-qur'an, so proposed research hypothesis is rejected.The results of comparison of empirical scores show that authoritarian parenting is moderate with empirical mean (RE) = 34.64 and hypothetical (RH) = 40, and the discipline of memorizing al-qu'an is high with empirical average (RE) = 46.16 and hypothetical average (RH) = 45. The conclusion of the research is there is no relation between authoritarian parenting with discipline memorizing al-qur'an. This means that the authoritarian parenting variable can not be a predictor to measure the discipline of memorizing the Qur'an. It also that the discipline of memorizing al-quran is not only influenced by authoritarian parenting, but there are other factors that may affect.
