Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder due to occur on the body due to damage to the pancreatic beta cells resulting in disorders on the secretion of insulin, insulin, or both work which is characterized by increased levels of blood sugar or hyperglikemia. Treatment on diabetes mellitus can be done with one of the four pillars namely physical exercise. Physical exercise done regularly can improve insulin production. The purpose of this research is to know the picture of blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus who routinely doing physical exercise. Type of this research is quantitative descriptive analysis with cross-sectional. The sample in this study involved as many as 43 people with retrieval using the technique of accidental sample. The results of the analysis can be concluded: 1) Characteristics of the respondents mostly women-sex with a number of 29 respondents (67.4%) and most are on age categories elderly early (46-55 years) with a total of 28 respondents (65.1%). 2) frequency the largest amount of physical exercise a week done 3 times a week with a total of 40 respondents (93%). 3) frequency distribution of blood sugar levels when taken after physical exercise are on the category of prediabetes (100-199 mg/dL) and the number of 39 respondents (90.7%).
