Abstract
The purpose of this study is to improve the economic learning outcomes through cooperative learning with group investigation model on the students of grade X SMA N 1 Bayat Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018.This research uses classroom action research method (PTK) with two cycles. Subjects in this study were the students of grade X SMA Negeri 1 Bayat Klaten district in the second semester of the academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 26 students. Data collection techniques use tests and observations. Data analysis techniques using descriptive and comparative analysis.The results showed that the use of cooperative learning model Group Investigation (GI) can improve student learning outcomes on the subject matter of demand and supply. This conclusion is based on an increase in the average score of learning outcomes on economic subjects after the implementation of Group Investigation cooperative learning. The average value of learning outcomes before the application of the GI cooperative learning model was 68.5. After cycle I increased to 72.9 and after cycle II increased to 89.4. Learning completeness at the end of the first cycle only reached 34.6%, after the cycle II learning completeness increased to 92.3%. Learning completeness of 92.3% has exceeded the performance indicator by 75% and this class action research is declared successful.
