Abstract
This study aims to describe the application of learning mathematics using Problem Based Learning learning strategies to improve students' learning creativity on areas geometri object. The type of research used is classroom action research consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the implementation of Problem Based Learning strategy can improve student's learning creativity. The achievement of learning creativity is observed from 4 indicators that have increased, that is (1) ability to ask questions increased from (4.44%) to (24,39%), (2) problem-solving skills increased from (6,67 %) to (29.27%), (3) ability to answer questions from lecturers increased from (15.6%) to (34.15%), (4) forward-looking initiatives to work on problems increased from (4.44%) to (19.51 %). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning strategies can improve the learning creativity of Mathematics Education students who take the field geometry courses.
