Abstract
This research is aimed to examine : (1) the effect of using Make A Match and Think Pair Strategy to the result of learning mathematics. (2) the effect of students’ activeness to the result of learning mathematics. (3) the effect of interaction in learning strategy and students’ activeness to the result of learning mathematics. The type of this research is quantitative research by using quasy-experiment design. The sample of this research is taken with Custom Random Sampling from the population of Students Grade VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Simpon Surakarta Academic Year 2017/2018. The technique of collecting data is using questionnairre, test and documentation. Before doing the analysis, the researcher did balance test, normality test, and homogenity test. The technique of analyzing the data is using two ways vatiation with the significancy 5%. The result of this research shows that: (1) there are some effect in using learning strategy to the result of learning mathematics. (2) there are some effect from students’ activeness to the result of learning mathematics. (3) there is no interaction between learning strategy and students’ activeness to the result of learning mathematics.
