Abstract
To make of section preparations requires good quality ingredients, one of which is a dyes preparation. The dyes that is often used in schools for observation using a microscope is safranin. But not all schools can buy it because it is expensive, difficult to store and easily damaged. So it takes replacement dyes that have the same function with safranin. The high anthocyanin content in super red dragon fruit skin potentially be a natural dye. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that purpose to analyze the quality of natural dyes extract of red dragon fruit skin as well as development in the form of biology learning resources. This research used experimental method with Complete Randomized Design with two treatment factors solvent type (14% citrate acid and 96% ethanol) and long immersion (24 hours, 25 hours and 26 hours. Preparation of plant tissue using cross sectional method on the stem of grass with a dyes of red dragon fruit skin extract. Based on the results of research, the best plant tissue preparation is to use a super red dragon fruit skin dyes with 14% citric acid solvent and 26 hours of soaking time. Keywords : Natural dye, super red dragon fruit, , the tissue preparation
