Abstract

Fracture is a condition in which bone discontinuity occurs. The distal 1/3 femoral fracture is a bone fracture of the femoral bone located in the lower third of the femur. The problem is pain, swelling, decreased scope of joint motion (LGS), decreased muscle strength of functional ability. Modality used is infra red and exercise therapy. To know the implementation of physiotherapy in reducing pain, swelling, and improve functional ability in case of femur fracture 1/3 distal sinistra with infra red modality and exercise therapy. after physiotherapy 6 times got results in silent pain T0: 2 to T: 1, Tenderness at T0: 5 to T6: 3, motion pain in T0: 6 to T6: 4, Reduction of odema From tibia tuberosity to the proxsimal 10cm T0: 38cm to T6: 36cm, from tibia tuberosity to proxsimal 15cm T0: 37cm to T6: 35cm, from tibial tube to distal 10cm at T0: 33cm to T6: 31, from tibial tuberosity to distal 15cm at T0: 28 to T6: 26cm. functional ability of T0: unable to sit T6: walking with crutches. Infra red and exercise therapy can reduce pain, swelling, improve muscle strength, LGS and functional ability
