Abstract

Interpretation of every individual's speech is different. eherefore, this study will examine the effects of the speeches that expressed by Pn. There are 3 purposes in this research. (1) To describe forms of pragmatic force of speech act in Rosi discourse in Kompas TV. (2) To describe the pragmatic force of the speech act Rosi discourse in Kompas TV. (3) To describe the strategy of pragmatic force of speech act in Rosi discourse in Kompas TV. The method that used in this study is descriptive qualitative because this study produce descriptive data in written form by taking the theory of Austin and Searle about perlokusi speeech act. The result of this research is 80 data of pragmatic force of spcech act from 3 youtube videos on Rosi show in Kompas TV episode of East Java, West Java and Central Java candidate leader. from that 80 datas, There are 11 forms of pragmatic force, including asking, inviting, challenging, insinuating, commanding, convincing, telling, criticizing, encouraging, mocking, and begging. While strategies in this research consist of 2 strategies , which is direct strategy and indirect strategy. Direct strategy has 39 speeches and indirect strategies has 41 speeches.
