Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of teachers in fostering religious character in the fourth grade of SDIT Hidayaturrahman. This research uses qualitative research type and the design of this research is phenomenology. The subject of this research is the fourth grade teacher. data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data uses triangulation techniques and sources. Data analysed by use data reduction, presenting data, verification / withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that: (1) There is a program to develop the value of religious character in SDIT Hidayaturrahman, to create robbani generation in accordance with what is taught by Rosulullah. (2) The role of teachers in fostering the value of religious character is, to teach, supervise and guide, motivate, give exemplary, reward and punishment. (3) Types of activities to raise the value of religious character in the form of routine activities and spontaneous activities. (4) To maximize the role of teachers in fostering religious character of students requires good cooperation of all components education.
