Abstract

AFIAHADIYAH ZEN / J 120 140 036 “AN EFFECT TAPINGOF ABDOMINAL WITH (Dibimbing Oleh Wahyuni, S.Fis., M.Kes) BACKGROUND: Women will experience menstrual pain after the first menarche (menarche) 6-12 months. Dysmenorrhea is divided into primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain without any pathology process characterized by pain in the lower abdomen spreading the lower back to the thigh. Caused by an imbalance of prostaglandin secretion in the endometrium during menstruation. This, a person can not normal activities so that interfere with school and work activities. PURPOSES:. To determine the effect of taping on the abdominal to primary dysmenorhea to reduce pain in the lower abdomen METHOD: This research type is Quasi Experimental, with pre and post test design with control gruop design. Sampling technique using Accidental sampling. Total sample of 20 people consisting of 10 treatment groups and 10 control groups. Taping is given 2 weeks before menstruation until the first day of menstruation. Measurement of pain using Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Data analysis using shapiro wilk test, test of influence of simple test T test, difference test of influence using test of mann-whitney. RESULT OF RESEARCH: based on statistical test got significant result with value P is 0,000 where p <0,05 which mean ha accepted. This means that there is a taping effect on the abdominal to decrease primary dysmenorrhea. Conclusion: Taping proved to have an effect on primary dysmenorrhea.
