Abstract
Fish feed is the most important component in fish cultivation. Fish feed contains the nutrition which appropriate to the fish needed in their growth and live, however the fish feed cost is very expensive. Chicken bone flour can be an alternativeraw material for the making of feed fish because of contains high protein i.e 12%. Azolla (Azolla microphylla) flour can be used as a natural mixture of nutrients to increase protein content the fish feed of 23,42% dry weight. The purpose of this research was to know of the protein content and quality of the feed fish from chicken bone flour and azolla (Azolla microphylla) flour. The method of this research was a Complete Random Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor wass the weight of the chicken bone flour (30 g, 40 g and 50 g) and the second factor was the weight of the azolla (Azolla microphylla) flour ( 15 g and 25 g) with two replications. The results showed that the highest protein contents of fish feed was the treatment of A1M1 ( chicken bone flour 30 g and azolla flour 15 g) amount 18,2128%, while the lowest protein content of fish feed was the treatment of A3M2 ( chicken bone flour 50 g and azolla flour 25 g) 13,0745%. The best quality of fish feed was treatment of A1M2 ( chicken bone flour 30 g and azolla flour 25 g) with the black brownies colour, smell of fish feed and smooth texture.
