Abstract

Job on long time with the static position or same with that will cause discomfort. From preliminary survey results 55% of bus drivers at Tirtonadi Terminal are driving more than 4 hours with less than 30 minutes rest time. Transport workers such as bus drivers are exposed to various health problems including mucosuleletal disorders. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between sitting duration while driving with musculoskeletal disorder at bus driver at Terminal Tirtonadi. The research design used quantitative method with cros sectional approach. Total sample 80 with accidental sampling sampling technique. The research instrument used questionnaire. Data analysis using chi square test. The results showed as many as 32% of respondents who were driving> 4 hours experienced high musculoskeletal disorders. The statistical test results showed no relationship between the duration of sitting while driving with musculoskeletal disorders (p-value = 0.477).
