Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) The effect of student activeness on accounting competence. 2) The effect of industrial working practices to accounting competence. 3) The influence student activeness and industrial working practices to accounting competence. This research is a quantitative descriptive research whose conclusions obtained based on the results of statistical analysis. Results of regression analysis regression equation: Y = 16,635 + 0,124 X1+ 0,530 X2 + e, which means that accounting competence is affected by student activeness and industrial working practices. Based on the analysis and discussion can be concluded that: (1) Student activeness positive influence on accounting competence. It is evident from the regression analysis obtained by value tcount > ttable is 2,086 > 1,993 with 0,041 significance value < 0,05. (2) Industrial working practices positive effect on accounting competence. It is evident from the regression analysis obtained by value tcount > ttable is 6,629 > 1,993 with significant value 0,000 < 0,05. (3) Student Activeness and industrial working practice together positive effect on accounting competence. It is evident from the regression analysis obtained Fcount > Ftable that is 26,593 > 3,12 with significant value 0,000 < 0,05. (4) Student activeness variables contribute effectively amounted to 5,1%. Variable industrial working practices contribute effectively amounted to 37%, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0,421, or 42,1%, while 57,9% are influenced by other variables.
