Abstract

One of the factors associated with the level of home care is the low level of intention, self efficacy, and subjective family norms. Need efforts to improve the intention, self efficacy and family norms for better care of mental patients at home. This study aims to determine the effect of health to improve the intention, self efficacy and family norms to prevent deprivation in patients in Klaten District. This research is a quantitative research using pre-post test one-group design design. The study population was 32 families whose family members had psychiatric patients in Klaten Regency. The sample of the study were 32 families determined using total sampling technique. The research data collection using questionnaire instrument, then data analysis using paired sample t-test. This research was conducted to test the pre test and post test, intention, self efficacy and subjective norm about the inability to create an inadequate situation in Klaten Regency, where the post test is higher than pre test, health promotion proved effective against the increase of intention, self efficacy and subjective norms of post-baby patient families. 1 Keywords: patient family pasca deprivation, health promotion, intention, self efficacy and subjective norm
