Abstract

Background : Ankle sprain is an injury to the lateral complex ligaments due to the overstretch with the position of inversion and the flexion of the plantar which suddenly happens when the foot is not restoring perfectly and causing a disruption of functional activity. Purpose : To find out the implementation of physiotherapy in reducing pain, increasing the muscle strength and mobility in ankle joints with Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) modalities and Ankle Theraband Exercise Result : After therapy for 6 times obtained results soreness T1 : 0.6 became T6 : 0, painful tap on left lateral maleollus T1 : 1.4 became T6 : 0, pain on movement across the direction of T1 : 5.3 into T6:1, increasing the scope of the motion of joints (LGS) in the ankle sinistra on active movement of flexion and extensions of the T1 with the result S 25˚-0˚-10˚ became T6 with the result S 30˚-0˚-50˚, on passive movement flexion and extension with the results of the T1 S 30˚-0˚-30˚ into T6 with results S 30˚-0˚-50˚, on an active movement inversion and eversi with the results of the T1 R 10˚-0˚-5˚ became T6 with the result R 20˚-0˚-30˚, on passive motion inversion and eversi with results T1 R 15˚-0˚-5˚ became T6 with the result R 20˚-0˚-30˚, increased muscle strength on T1 with the results of 3 became T6 with the results 4. Conclusion : Transcutaneous Electrical Neurostimulation (TENS) and Ankle Theraband exercises Exercise can overcome interference in case of Sprain Ankle Sinistra.
