Abstract
Exemplary teachers are needed as an effort to instill and to compose the character of discipline and student responsibility. The objectives of the research are (1) to describe the exemplary forms of teachers in instilling the character of the discipline, (2) to describe the teacher's exemplary forms in instilling the character of responsibility, (3) to describe teacher's obstacles in instilling the character of discipline and responsibility, 4) describe the solution in instilling the character of discipline and responsibility. The type of research used is qualitative research. The methods of collecting data, researcher uses observation, interviewing study, and documentation. In this research, the researcher uses triangulation of source and method to take data valid. The researcher analyzes the data by applying the following procedures reduction data , presented data, and drawing conclusion. The result of the research shows that (1) the form of exemplary teachers in instilling the discipline character of high class student with the habituation and approach, (2) the teacher exemplary form in instilling the character of high class responsibility by way of habituation and approach, (3) inculcate the character of discipline and responsibility of high-class students, (4) solutions to minimize barriers by way of habituation and approach.
