Abstract

Klaten Craft Gallery is a venue used for hosts and facillitates a variety of handicrafts existing in Klaten, as well as providing a showcase and workshop center, as well as workshops, and seminars assupporting activities and promotional activities. In accordance with the existing problems, then the author of designing and Klaten craft designed the building as a Gallery that host avariety of hand crafted especially for fans of art and craft makers who want to increase efforts in thefiekd of handicrafts in Klaten and surroundings. To achieve that goal, then target achieved was get the concept of Klaten Craft Gallery with formulation of the idea of planning, the concept of the site, the concept of space, the concept of appearance of the architechture, the concept of structure, concept interior/conditioning of spaces and the concept ofutility as the place to accomodate, and the talent, creativity, ideas, in the field of craft and can be enjoyed by locals and foreign tourist. In line with the ideas and the idea of the author, with the passage of time may the Klaten Craftt Gallery can be useful and the benefit to society of the town of Klaten and surrounding areas in particular.
