Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Tapak Suci activities in MI Muhammadiyah Karanganyar. This research was conducted at MI Muhammadiyah Karanganyar in April until May 2018. This research used qualitative type with descriptive design. The data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The data validity test used triangulation technique. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and deduction of conclusions. The results of the research are: 1) Background of Tapak Suci extracurricular in MI Muhammadiyah Karanganyar is because Tapak Suci is Indonesia martial arts and Tapak Suci as a container to develop student interest and talent 2) The purpose of Tapak Suci extracurricular in MI Muhammadiyah Karanganyar is introducing students to indigenous martial arts and as a forum for developing students' interests and talents, 3) The planning is made at the beginning of the semester and written on RKM and RKM, 4) Organizing extracurricular activities of Tapak Suci in MI Muhammadiyah Karanganyar conducted by the coach along with the assistant coach, 5) Evaluation is done after the students finish the championship, 6) The obstacle factors in the execution of extracurricular activities Tapak Suci is a disciplinary and rowdy student and limitation of coach, 7) the efforts to face that problem is to give punishment to student so that students do not repeat their actions and add coaches.
