Abstract

Gondangrejo is one of the districts in Karanganyar district that still preserve the culture of musical arts, it is in terms of developments several villages in terms of art to preserve Javanese culture at this point in terms of the art of gamelan.In the development of musical art in the area Gondangrejo several villages now Kelurahan the public interest in preserving the culture is still very high musical arts to embody the creativity in playing gamelan as a Javanese art and culture but in supporting artists in performing arts performances kerawitan still encased in maximum for not providing advice or special infrastructure to accommodate these activities as well as traditional art today is very less desirable, especially younger generations today karenabanyaknya elements of art from abroad who helped decorate like jazz, rock, pop..The purpose of this musical art development center to accommodate the activities of artists in the arts karawitan and resolve problems that cause less desirable musical arts. Design Art Development Center Gondangrejo Karawitan in the district is expected to become an information center, the center of musical arts activities as well as traditional music education Gondangrejo subdistrict. Art development center is also expected to facilitate the activities of the performers as well as to attract today's young generation to learn and preserve the culture of musical arts. The design objectives musical arts development center in the district Gondangrejo of the Association with other art to align the principles of traditional music into architecture. Those principles embodied in the melody, harmony, rhythm, in order to design according to the system of traditional music art itself.
