Abstract
Physical soil testing of Troketon Village, Pedan District, Klaten Regency conducted Dewanty (2017) obtained the liquid limit value (LL) 74.42%, plasticity index (PI) 48.07%, pass filter No. 200 89.57%. The USCS classification included as the CH group or clays with high plasticity. Soil with low bearing capacity can be enhanced by the reinforcement of soil stabilized with concrete waste. Concrete waste column that was originally only using as a vertical drainage become on of the solution to increase the bearing capacity of the soil. This research with six test laboratory using vertical load testing to sample without concrete and using concrete waste columns with 100 mm and 150 mm diameter and diameter of the foundation 100 mm and 150 mm in clay soil by maintaining the air content and compaction method. From six tests in the laboratory, it can be concluded that by increasing the diameter of footing foundation the percentage increase in maximum load 100,9% and 109,09%, if increasing the foundation size of concrete waste columns the maximum obtained 57.14% and 63.27% the closer the loading test the settlement results will be higher due to the influence of the foundation that presses the soil.
