Abstract

De Quervain Syndrome is disease caused by inflammation of muscle tendon of m. abductor polichis longus and m. extensor polichis brevis. This elicits pain around stiloideus process area and decrease of ROM so that the impact on the decreased ability of functional activity. Knowing the benefits of ultrasound for reducing pain andhold relax Stretching for ROM Improvement in patients with De Quervain Syndrome.After 6 times of therapy, there was a improvement of motion and tenderness pain in which motion pain was reduced from T0: 5.4 to T6: 4.8 and the tenderness decreased from T0: 3.6 to T6: 3.1. ROM impovement in the sagittal and frontal plane of the carpometacarpal joint wherein the increase occurs in the sagittal plane of T0: 10o-0o-3o to T6: 15o-0o-30o and on the frontal plane of T0: 15o-0o -20o to T6: 20o-0o-25o.Ultrasound and Hold Relax Stretching can reduce pain and increase the ROM Keywords: de quervain syndrome, ultrasound, and hold relax stretching.
