Abstract

Magetan is a district that has a diversity of art and culture, but in the district there is no place that can accommodate all the results and activities of art and culture. Nevertheless, in the Plan and Strategy of Tourism and Culture Office of Magetan Regency 2017-2018 (Renstra Dinas Parbud 2017-2018) has been written the plan of government activities with the target Completing cultural facilities, among others by building museums, art buildings, cultural studio, preservation of cultural heritage objects (BCB) and others who can preserve the ancestral heritage culture of high historical value. Therefore based on this background the author took the initiative to design a Cultural Park and Art Gallery with Neovernakular Approach, as a place to accommodate all arts and cultural activities that may later be realized by Magetan district government. Writing to be performed using data collection methods through synthesis analysis, among others, Collecting data and identified problems that arise in the process of planning and design, performing analysis based on primary and secondary data and concluded what will be used as an alternative solving primary data in the form of observation while data secondary studies in the form of literature and comparations, compile data to obtain solutions to formulate the results into a design concept. Based on these stages will be produced a design of Cultural Park and Art Gallery which is a cultural preservation location. Cultural Garden and Art Gallery Magetan will be functioned as a place of education, entertainment, performances and art and cultural exhibition in Magetan Regency designed with Neo Architecture approach Vernacular.
