Abstract

This aim of this study is: (1) The influence of the social environment on the interest of continuing study to Higher Education, (2) The Influence of Potential to the Interest Continue study to Higher Education, (3) The Influence of Social Environment and Potential Of Interest Continue Study to Higher Education . The population in this study is the students of class XI Accounting SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo as many as 110 students then taken a sample of 84 students. Method of sampling with proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. Instrument test was conducted on 20 students of class XI Accounting SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo. The analytical prerequisite test uses the test of normality and linearity. Data analysis used was multiple regression analysis, including t test, F test, R2 test, Relative Contribution and Effective Contribution. The results obtained (1) Social Environment has a significant effect on the Interests of Continuing Studies to Higher Education. This is proven based on regression analysis which get tcount> ttable that is 2,491> 1,667. (2) Potential of Self has a significant effect on the Interest of Continuing Study to Higher Education. It is proven based on regression analysis that get tcount> ttable that is 2,394> 1,667. (3) Social Environment and Self Potential influence simultaneously to Interest Continue Study to Higher Education. It is proven based on regression analysis which get Fcount> Ftable is 4,499> 3,09. (4) Variable Social environment gives 30.4 Relative Contribution and 3% Effective Contribution, while Self Potential variable gives Relative Contribution equal to 69,6% and Effective Contribution equal to 7%. (5) The result of calculation R2 obtained value 0,100 which means 10% interest to continue study to Higher Education influenced by social environment and self potential, while 90% rest influenced by other variable outside research.
