Abstract

This research was conducted in Gatak Sub-District Sukoharjo District. This study entitled “Analysis of Land Use Change in Gatak Sub-District Sukoharjo Regency Year 2013 and 2017”. This research has objectives: to know the spread of land use change and to analyze factors influencing land use change in Gatak Sub-District Sukoharjo District. The research method used in this study is to use secondary data and map analysis using comparative method, the data used is land use in 2013 and land use in 2017 and using statistical data needed in the analysis of land use change Gatak Sub-District for map analysis using the overlay comparative method of land use data of 2013 and 2017 generated in 3 classes is highest, medium and low. The result of this study shows that land use change from 2013 to 2017 is dominated by changes in the use of plantation/plantation land to the use of settlement land with an area of 1285500 m2 change of the most dominant land use change in Trangsan Village, Mayang, Sraten, Luwang, Geneng and Blimbing. Changes in the use of wetland into the use of settlement land with an area of change of 1025200 m2 the most dominant land use change in Mayang and Trangsan Village. Then the dominant factors affecting land use change are the increase of population in research area increasing the need of settlement, so that influence to land use change and socioeconomic factor.
